US President Joe Biden had to momentarily halt his speech at the White House
on Friday during a ceremony commemorating the women's basketball team of
Louisiana State University, as one of the players fainted.
The incident occurred while the US President was congratulating the basketball
players on their victory in the college championship.
The President's speech was interrupted for several minutes after the
basketball star
Sa’Myah Smith
fainted in the midst of the championship-winning team.

After resuming his speech, Biden confirmed that everything was alright with
the athlete who fainted during his speech.
Biden Hosts NCAA Championship Basketball Teams in Separate White House Events
US President Joe Biden welcomed the NCAA championship men's and women's
basketball teams in two separate events at the White House. Later on Friday,
Biden also hosted the UConn men's championship team, who won their fifth
national title by defeating San Diego State, 76-59, in April.
