German defender Jerome Boateng has decided his position and future, after news indicated that he was approaching Real Madrid, to compensate for the absence of Austrian David Alaba after his injury.
The widely circulated German newspaper "Bild" said earlier that Boateng and his agent had made contact with Real Madrid to offer his services to the Spanish team, especially since he was not linked to any contract after the end of his contract with Lyon.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a specialist in the transfer market, denied these reports, confirming that he was close to returning to his former team, Bayern Munich, in a free transfer deal.
Romano said that Real Madrid did not approach the player at all, despite his link to a move to the team, according to press reports, after David Alaba's injury.
The Italian journalist revealed that Boateng will be transferred to Bayern soon, as negotiations have reached their final stages.
Romano explained that the main part of the medical examinations had been scheduled, and that the player participated in the team’s training on Sunday morning.

Boateng, 35 years old, moved to Bayern Munich in 2011, continuing with the team until his departure two years ago.
Jerome Boateng is not playing for any club at the present time, after the end of his contract with French club Olympique Lyonnais at the end of last season.
